Becoming A Volunteer

Lydcare is totally dependent on the help of all our volunteers without whom we could not begin to provide all our services in the community.

We are always in need of more volunteers to join our team and if you feel you can help in any of the following ways please contact us on 01594 860143

Drivers

Being a voluntary driver means that you become part of a network of individuals who are available to transport people to Hospitals, Doctors, Dentists or other general social appointments. We pride ourselves on providing a professional, friendly, etiquette and punctual service to all our clients. We ensure that all our volunteer drivers go through a personal Disclosure and Barring Service check, this is required by law and it maintains our high standard of protection for all those who we serve.

Area Covered

With the increasing decline in local public transport services, we are find our volunteer service becoming increasingly more vital. We have also increased the areas that we cover. We now operate within the Forest, its surrounding area and even travel as far as Bristol, Cheltenham, Birmingham and Oxford hospitals. Our drivers are happy to wait until you are ready to travel back home. A standard mileage charge applies.
